And to Joshua from Chester, PA, we will indeed play your grandfather's 60th birthday party. Seriously, we're just looking to play out of Massachusetts, and it would be wonderful if you could help us. Alright big update! We've got a lot of good news. This December we spent a week down the cape and recorded another full four songs. We are all really proud of what ended up happening over the week we spent down there, and are confident that this is the best music we've made to date. The week was basically spent writing and recording until 6AM, and then waking up the next day and hitting it again (it was also comprised of more 30's of PBR than I can count and some intense wii bowling, not that you really care about that). Our friend Caleb at EricRock has told us that he is ready to press the recording as soon as it is mixed/and mastered, which is huge and very exciting. For now we are working on making it sound good and adding some random things here and there, we'll keep you updated on the status of the recording. Plans of an tour in August are also underway, more details about that to come soon as well. For now check out these pictures of the week:

Goodbye republican majority, hello motionless update. Just wanted to let everybody know we're still alive. It's always hard to be really active when the band is separated by 1179 miles, but not to worry, we haven't forgotten about it. We've got plans to lock ourselves up for a week straight in December and work on a bunch of new material that we should be releasing soon after. More details to come about that. Also we've updated the projects section with couple of songs, some that have been kicking around for a while, and others that are pretty new. Lastly, we've got a live video of "The United States of Amnesia" that we played at our record release show this summer. Check it.

IMPORTANT: THE SHOW LOCATION FOR TOMORROW NIGHT HAS BEEN CHANGED! It will now be at 25 Plainfield St. in Jamaica Plain, MA. It will also be starting about an hour and a half earlier than before (8:30PM). It's going to be an amazing time and we're all really looking forward to it. Also, the CD's have arrived! We are more than impressed and can't wait to start showing them off, so make it your business to be there, and we will, of course, love you forever.

August, a month where the days only get shorter and everyone gives their last go at soaking up some sun and enjoying the end of the summer. Kids are busy worrying about their summer reading (or cliffs notes… not that I used to do this), some are cramming in that last bit of vacation time before the fall arrives, and motionless is busier than ever. First, for those who haven’t yet heard, there have been some major developments with the status of The Windmill EP. We originally planned to release this in digital form for downloading purposes only (see the first website update), but to our complete delight we were soon approached by EricRock, a small organization out of Jamaica Plain, MA, about possibly making the recording into a physical release. Of course we were all extremely excited by this opportunity and jumped at the idea. So we went back to the studio, re-mixed and re-mastered the songs and were lucky enough to compile some really great art for the release as well, including a drawing from the incredibly talented Dan McCarthy. The recording won’t put too much of a dent in your wallet either, as we plan on selling them for only 5 bucks. The formal release date for this record is on August 26th, which takes us to the second development: shows. Yes Motionless does actually have plans to play out this summer! There’s going to be a record release show for the EP, and all the details about that and the others can be found in the shows section. Well, that about wraps it up I think, we hope you’re half as excited as we are about the upcoming weeks, cause they’re going to be awesome.

Contrary to what our website has been telling you for the past three months, Motionless has been busy. We currently have three shows scheduled - August 8th and 26th at the Lilly Pad in Boston, and earlier in the evening on August 26th in Taunton. Full information regarding these shows will be added very soon. Motionless has also been working on a lot of new material, so you can expect to hear some new music in addition to the four songs from The Windmill EP live. Lastly, we have some exciting news regarding a final mixing and mastering of The Windmill EP that may or may not have to do with EricRock. All this and more will be explained in a full and more in-depth update within the next week or so. So keep checking back and spread the word. Thanks for your patience!

Welcome to the new Motionless website. It has been far too long since we’ve had a proper online home, and we thought that it was time to get back in the game. We are pleased to announce that The Windmill EP, our first (ever) release, is now available for download in its entirety. The release is one hundred percent digital, and as of right now we have no plans to formally release it in any other form, but of course you should feel free to make your own cd’s or tapes with the songs. The recordings are available in the media section, and we encourage you to download to your hearts content (and maybe even tell us what you think afterwards!). We also added an updated bio of the band for those who might be curious about the recent (and not so recent) happenings of Motionless. The “projects” section is something we’ve never tried before, and have yet to completely develop, but we do have big plans for this section and it will be full of new stuff in the near future. We plan to update this site often, so if you like what you see/hear maybe come by every once in a while to see what’s going on!
